Why You Need A Plan Even If The Plan Will Change

In this episode, I dive into the importance of planning, even when uncertainty looms. Drawing from my experience coaching a client and working in retail, I emphasize that having a plan provides direction and makes adapting easier than starting from scratch.

I break down three calendar blocking techniques:

  • Specific time blocks (precise task scheduling)

  • Large time blocks (broader time slots with detailed task descriptions)

  • Flexible time blocks (adaptable scheduling around available time)

The key is to avoid leaving your calendar blank just because you're waiting on potential commitments. Instead, I recommend proactively mapping out your day, considering potential client meetings or unknown variables. By planning around these uncertainties, you can maintain productivity and feel more in control. I share a practical example of how to approach a day with potential client scheduling, suggesting ways to allocate time effectively. This episode underscores that planning isn't about creating a rigid schedule, but about giving yourself a framework for success!
